“When the LORD began to speak through Hosea, the LORD said to him, “Go, marry a promiscuous woman and have children with her, for like an adulterous wife this land is guilty of unfaithfulness to the LORD.””Hosea 1:2
Why did you make me like this
To give my all
To love someone who can’t look into my eyes
Does the spirit of loveless pain live vicariously through me?
From what do I gain from this
What do I learn from this tournament?
“I will punish her for the days she burned incense to the Baals; she decked herself with rings and jewelry, and went after her lovers, but me she forgot,” declares the LORD. “Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her. There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will respond as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt.”
Hosea 2:13-15 NIV
Am I cursed to give love and never receive it?
I cry to you every night to send me an unfailing love I never stop to think about you
All that you go through
All the fail promises in the world
The broken bonds to you
I understand your pain
But,
I can’t fathom your love
You give so much of yourself to this world
Do you know of just one that will give their all to you?
Just one Oh lord,
Who am I to ask of something that you never received
Your grace has bounds I cannot comprehend
But your pain, I know too well
“I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion. I will betroth you in faithfulness, and you will acknowledge the LORD.
I will plant her for myself in the land; I will show my love to the one I called ‘Not my loved one. ’ I will say to those called ‘Not my people, ’ ‘You are my people’; and they will say, ‘You are my God.’ ””
Hosea 2:19-20, 23 NIV
God your pain is his hope
Hope that I won’t go astray
But you are all knowing
Just as I looked into the eyes of a loved one and felt pain you, also, peered into my soul in sorrow
You seek only love from your children
And we only seek your inheritance
We only have the will to do you will if you put us in your will, OH LORD
I hurt you everyday
the pain you must go through a million times over
The descendants that you ordained to out count the sands of the shores has cost you tears that twice outnumbers the rain drops that this earth has seen
What do I have to show for my efforts
What do you have to show for you love
Sorrow,
Bitterness bittersweet
Sorrow
